5th and 6th Class Science Fair
We had a Science Fair in our class. Everybody in the class worked really hard on their projects and really enjoyed showing them to all the classes in the school and our parents.

Plants Need Water
1st & 2nd Class were very busy investigating How Plants Drink.
First they got some jars and filled them with water.They marked the water level and added food colouring. Then they put a celery stick into the jars and left them overnight.
The next day the water level in the jars had dropped and you could see thin red lines of coloured water running the
length of the celery stalk. This was because the celery (the plant) had drank the water!!
Fair Test Rules
5th & 6th Class worked on a set of rules for a fair test in Science. These are the rules they came up with
Map Making in 5th and 6th class
This week we have been learning about scale and how it is used. We worked in pairs to make maps of our school. First we measured the perimeter of the school and then decided on a scale we could use. We used the scale 1cm=1m. We then carefully drew our maps. We then measured the inside of the school and drew in where the different rooms were. It was trickier than we thought but all our maps turned out really well.
