Our trip to Athy
Ms Carroll brought us to Athy,first we went to a sorting office it was great I found out that there are different sorting offices when the mail gets there are different boxes for each house. There is is a very special bag for santa letters. We wrote a letter to our relatives I wrote my letter to my aunty pat . Richard wrote his to his Mam. Then we bought stamps in the post office then we posted them in the post box outside.
We went to a restaurant call Bradburys I got a gingerbread man and Richard got a slice of coffee cake. Then we went to a museum. There was a scale model of a boat called the Endurance. It was owned by Ernest Shackleton. We also learned about the Gordon Bennett Route. We saw a video on a diary entry on the harshness of WW1. Then we went to Xtra Vision. After that we had lunch.
We went to the train station. I bought the tickets. We then got a from Athy to Carlow. It was a good on the train. We went to Carlow to the library. There were a lot of books. After the library went to the shop. We bought some sweets. Ms Carroll brought us back to the school. It was good that day.
